Longer Meditation
We are now offering an optional longer zazen period every Sunday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Walking (kinhin) as needed.

Dokusan 
Fajiàn will offer Dokusan to everyone who would like to use this opportunity. It will be offered person-to-person every Sunday at 10 AM here at the temple. 
Long distance Dokusan may be arranged live via Skype during the week. For details, please contact Fajiàn by email.

Newsletter
The Spring 2012 Newsletter is out. Please help yourself to a copy at the LZT library.

Dharma Books
The 2012 edition of the temple Dharma book is under the cushions. We are giving away all old copies.  Help yourself. There are plenty of them right outside the Zendo.

Avalokitesvara (Quan Yin) Birthday

This is a festival which celebrates the Bodhisattva ideal represented by Avalokitesvara, who is the perfection of compassion in the Mahayana traditions of Tibet and China. It occurs on the full moon day in March (this year March 8).
Celebration: We gather for a special Dharma Service on the following Sunday morning, this year March 11, decorate the temple with flowers, followed by a pot-luck brunch.
Please join in!



THE ZEN VISION QUEST
Please mark your Calendar for the weekend of March 17-18, 2012. This special retreat will be led a guest Zen master, Billy Red Flying Horse Starnes. He is Fajian's initial Zen teacher  (back in the 90s). For details, please visit http://www.lotustemple.us/nextretreat.html
