Next Class
Fajiàn
will introduce the Order of the Lotus Blossom and focus on the
Bodhisattva vows. By consistent and stable spiritual practice members
realize the ultimate benefit and enrichment of such a life. All Dharma
brothers and sisters hold to the three Jewels and the Bodhisattva vows
as mindful guides for living. They intensify their daily Zen practice
and realization under the guidance and support of the Order as community
wherever they may live. The class is scheduled for Friday, September
14, 2012, 6 PM. To register, please go to
http://www.lotustemple.us/classsignup.html
Next Precept Ceremony
Those who would like to take the Precepts, we have set aside September 9, 2012, for the ceremony. It will take place as usual during the Sunday morning Service. This is also a good opportunity for the sangha to show support for the candidate in his or her important event in life. The Precept Ceremony will be followed by potluck.
Web & Broadcast
After initial glitches, Nathan is working on getting the live broadcast running again. Once completed, we will make an announcement. -- Pam has kindly volunteered to take over updating and managing the temple web site. Any questions/suggestions can be directed to her: pam@lotustemple.us
Dharma Talk Series
For the Sundays during the summer, Fajian will give a consecutive series of Dharma talks on "No Attachment to Dust", Zengetsu's advice to his students.
Upcoming Wedding
