Sangha Announcements & News
Precept Ceremony
Our sangha member Pam will take Jukai (Lay Ordination) this Sunday. The Precept ceremony will take place as usual during the Sunday morning Service. This is also a good opportunity for the sangha to show support for Pam in her important event in life. The Precept Ceremony will be followed by potluck.
Fall Weekday Schedule
Beginning with the week of September 17, we will hold a Wednesday 5:30 PM Meditation & Dharma Service, similar to that on Sunday morning, but with particular emphasis on renewal and mindfulness. There will be no other meditation times during the week. We will however continue with periodic Friday classes on various Zen topics. Please mark your Calendar as "Lotus Temple Days" for Sunday, Wednesday and Friday.
Next Class
During Friday's class, Fajiàn will introduce the Order of the Lotus Blossom and focus on the Bodhisattva vows. By consistent and stable spiritual practice members realize the ultimate benefit and enrichment of such a life. All Dharma brothers and sisters hold to the three Jewels and the Bodhisattva vows as mindful guides for living. They intensify their daily Zen practice and realization under the guidance and support of the Order as community wherever they may live.
